A juicy little morsel for you all this morning…it’s so outlandish that it has to be true!

So I wake up and take Chris to work (one car still, the Scout’s still being repaired from the wreck) in our 95 Chrysler Cirrus, which I have grown to love very much.  It’s a super nice car and it’s been reliable.  It’s not without it’s faults, like a testy little transmission that needs some kind of minor attention every now and then, but it’s been a great car.  The transmission started acting up last week so I went to Auto Zone to buy some transmission fluid.  It was freezing cold outside and I had to pee really really bad with the baby squeezing on my bladder, so I asked the guy who checked me out to please put it in for me while I went to the restroom. They’ve done this before for me and it’s a service they offer to women and people who are completely clueless about cars, LOL.  I come back out and he’s dumping my transmission fluid into the brake fluid reservior!!!  No kidding!  So the brakes started going out…and Daddy told me not to drive it till he could take a look at it.  So he takes off work to come over, Gracie I hitch a ride with my neighbor to go to my one-day job at Gracie’s Mother’s Day Out, and bum a ride home with the other lady who worked with me.  Daddy says to clean it out, it will be awhile before I see the Cirrus, IF I get it back.  Great.  Thanks Auto Zone.  Turns out the guy who “helped” me was the new employeee who (obviously) knew nothing about cars.  Huh.  So the manager is going to help my dad out to try and fix things.

See?  I told you I can’t possibly be making this stuff up.  So if anyone wakes up with an extra car in your driveway, send it my way, k?

Chris LOVES his new job.  I LOVE that he LOVES it.  This is good in so many ways.

My face is doing weird things. My skin’s really dry and I feel like I have a sunburn.  It’s quite uncomfortable and really red!  I need a new face, as Brookey would say.

Gracie has been playing the Fisher Price Nativity set that she got with last year.  This year she’s very sentimental about it.  Yesterday she decided that Baby Jesus needed to be with her at nap times and when she went to sleep, so now in addition to all her pillows and babies and blankets and Sleepy Bunny, there’s a baby Jesus sleeping in her bed as well.  She hugs it and kisses it, and pushes it around in her baby stroller.  It’s quite funny. We’re all about the Baby Jesus.

ATTENTION WAL MART SHOPPERS!  Only 11 days till Christmas!

Hmmm, what else?  Oh, nothing else really.  I’m sure there will be more exciting news soon, but that’s all I have for you now.

I know once I have the baby, though it will be a lot harder to try to surprise him.  So, mine as well do it as long as I can.

Maggie (my 20 month old) has the FP nativity, too. She keeps putting an Ernie bathtime toy at the nativity too. I missed the part about Ernie with a rubber duckie being in the manger!!

That is SO cute that Gracie is so sentimental about her baby Jesus!  And I love the idea about doing nice things and having that be your gift to Christ for His birthday…  still not sure what we will do… but that is an awesome idea!

Hope you’re having a great week

Kari, surely you know that we know we need a youth pastor. The parents are only doing what they can to keep things going until the right person is found. It cannot be done at the drop of a hat. You of all people know how difficult it is going to be to get someone to fill Chris’ shoes. I know you are very hurt, but perpetuating the bad feelings isn’t helping those of us who are trying to hold it together. How do you think I feel with my son losing his pastor(s) his senior year of high school and Laci losing hers her first year? Like I said, we are just trying to keep things going until God sends the right one. Please pray for the kids, they are what it’s all about.

Of course all is forgiven, we are friends! I love you more than any dissagreement we may have. We just need to be very careful of what kind of attitudes we spread. Eventhough they act grown up, teens are still very impressionable. It seems the negative stuff spreads and grows much faster than anything positve we can do.

You know what, you have every right to be upset and say whatever on my site. I’m sure the last couple of weeks I have come across as an ass. Every time I go up there (twice a week) I’m reminded of the fact that everything sucks. Robin^^^ is right about some of this. Yes you can’t find a youth pastor at the drop of a hat. But I still haven’t been told what’s going on. And they expect me to be happy and joyful. My point is, you should be able to say whatever you feel like saying. So go ahead and preach it sister! (That sounded really gay)

^ Tadd, the fact is I should have been more careful with my words.  I want the best for you and for everyone up there…you know.  The parents are doing a great job and I’m a poopey head sometimes.  LOL  Glad all is good now.  I promise to be good.  I shouldn’t have risked it with Santa watching my every move.  I hope I don’t get turds in my stocking.
