Missing in Action

February 5th, 2009

Yep, that’s me.  Sorry about that.

Let me get you up to speed.  The ice storm forced us to stay inside the house for almost a week.  The house got really, really small.  I organized the linen closet,  listed bins of the girls’ clothes on ebay, and cooked a LOT.  We were all ready for nicer weather.  Today was great.  I opened the front door to let the 70 degree breeze blow in.  Aaaaah!  I can’t wait till Spring!  Gracie is starting to read.  Tonight she read “Hop on Pop” in its entirety.  I can’t believe my baby is reading!  Trinity is still working on the potty training, we’ve had  minor setbacks lately, but I know this is normal.  I bought her some new Dora undies, so hopefully that will be some motivation to stop pooping in the pull ups.

So I’m starting the first phase of planning our very first ever FAMILY VACATION!  EEEEEEEE!  I am so excited!  We are looking at taking the girls on a cruise!  Yes, a CRUISE!  To Cozumel, over Christmas.  I don’t have anything set in stone yet, but we are bound and determined for the girls to have an amazing first vacation.  And *I* need to see the ocean!  The whole time I was going through my cancer treatments, I promised myself we’d take the girls to the ocean when I was healthy.  Well, here I am, three years later: cancer-free, reconstructed body, a VERY deserving husband and children who journeyed along with me…I need to make good on that promise!

Okay, and maybe some pictures?  Let’s see what we have here…

Dreaming of that vacation already…

Hello! Where should I start?

June 7th, 2008

Let’s see…

Niki’s still here and we’re all learning how to share 1100 square feet.  I really like her a lot, so she’s no trouble at all.

We celebrated Chris’ birthday tonight by eating at Ted’s.  Yum!  I got him some body wash and new cologne. My parents went in with me and the girls to get him an appointment to get his Jeep windows tinted.  His parents got him a gift card to Amazon and a check for some new clothes.

And YAY for Hillary endorsing Obama!  That’s the one thing I can respect about her.  I want you to take 5 minutes and watch this.   When I heard this speech for the first time, I got chills.  The fact that it is now made into a song is awesome.  I love it! Enjoy!

In other news, Gracie got her first big girl haircut.  Of course I took pictures.  It’s adorable.  She’s a real beauty.  Sigh.  And my big girl!  Now I know why my mom cried when I got a real hair cut for the first time–Gracie doesn’t look like a baby anymore and every single one of those baby curls is just…gone.  It’s okay though, I’m enjoying this little kid.  And I really like this kid’s new sassy hair.

And a sissy picture.  Awwww! My cuties!
